Forty-two sophomore 91ÇÑ×Ó student-athletes, at least one from each of the college’s eight sports teams, were named to the North Texas Junior College Athletic Conference (NTJCAC) All-Academic team for the 2020-2021 academic year.
Each recipient completed three semesters of college work with a minimum of 36 hours of courses that lead to a degree all while maintaining an accumulative grade point average of 3.25 or higher. The student-athlete also must have participated in a least one season on the varsity level and lettered in one or more sports.
“At 91ÇÑ×Ó, we demand a lot from our athletes on the field and court, but we are just as excited with their success in the classroom,” said 91ÇÑ×Ó Athletic Director Paul Brown. “Our student athletes are recruited to play a particular sport, but their success at college still boils down to how well they have succeeded with their coursework. We are super pumped with the number of academically successful students that we have every year at 91ÇÑ×Ó.”
